senior BJP leader, former State BJP President, man with a disarming smile, 58-year-old sri Devaragunda Venkappa Sadananda Gowda sworn in as the chief minister of Karnataka today in Rajbhavan.Governor H R Bhardwaj administered the oath of office and secrecy to Gowda, who swore in the name of God, at the Raj Bhavan watched by senior BJP leaders including Sri KS Eshwarappa, Sri Ananthkumar, Sri BS Yeddyurappa among others.The Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, activists and admirers of party distributed sweets and burst firecrackers all over the state including Bangalore, Mangalore, Puttur after he became the first Chief Minister from Dakshina Kannada after the district was split.
He expected that Karnataka would witness development under the leadership of Sri Sadananda Gowda.
