Joint speech of Shri Ramlal, National General Secretary (Org) & Shri Rajen Gohain (M.P., Lok Sabha) in BJP’s Dharna against Black Money, Corruption and atrocities of Central Govt. at Deemapur (Nagaland)

First of all it is my privilege being here at Nagaland, this State has very important contribution in the development of country. The Naga people have patriotic role in the Indian Army also. Our party is dedicated on the theory of Nation First. It is a commitment of BJP to provide transparent and accountable model of Governance in the country. Presently there are 9 States ruled by Bharatiya Janata Party. The Social Security Scheme, Development in Agricultural and Industrial Growth is much better in States ruled by BJP in compare to other States and this fact has also being proved by independent survey carried by Media group.

Numbers of initiatives taken by NDA Govt. in Leadership of Sh. Atal Bihari Vajpayee such as ‘The Golden Corridor Scheme’, ‘Pradhanmantri Gram Sarak Yojna ‘, ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ etc are still considered to be best examples of development, but unfortunately the present UPA Govt. is become example of corrupt Govt. Today corruption is an untraceable problems, there are so many scams like 2G Scam, Adarsh Society Scam, Common Wealth Game Scam Coalblog Scam, Isro Devas Deal Scam which are in public domain. One important Congress Leader and M.P. Mr. Kalmadi, one Central Minister Mr.Raja and UPA Partner DMK Leader Kani Mozhi already in jail. It shows that the nexus of corrupt person today rule the country. It is very surprising that no investigating agency investigate the responsibility of the Congress Ministers in this scam. Even the present Govt. is not taking a moral responsibility for these scams. It is shocking that on night of 4^th June 2011 in Delhi Ramlila Ground grave police atrocities carried out by the Central Govt. The conduct of DelhiPolice in Central Govt. in that incident was condemnable, it shows that present Govt. has no respect for this fundamental rights of the citizens. The BJP launch a nation wide campaign against the corruption, black money and atrocities of the Central Govt. from 23.6.2011 to 26.6.2011. This campaign will definitely create awareness amongst the general public. The BJP affirmely believe that the democracy of this country can be survive when we protect the fundamental right of every citizen. The action of the Central Govt. definitely curtail the right to expression. This unfortunately situation is created by the present Congress lead UPA Govt.

There is other major issue, which is black money. It is a well-recognized fact that there exists in India a parallel economy based entirely on black money transactions. Black money, also described as tainted money, has seeped into every walk of life and is posing a great threat to the stability of our real economy. The most unfortunate aspect is that it has come to be accepted as normal fact of life. People hardly feel say qualms of conscience while dealing with it. In their jaundiced eyes, the black appears to be bright and beautiful.

The problem of tax-evasion and black money cannot merely be looked upon as an anti-social activity or an unlawful activity. It is rather, like a cancer in the country's economy which, if not checked in time, will ruin the country's economy. One of the worst consequences of black-money and tax-evasion-is their pernicious effect on the moral fiber of our society which puts a premium on dishonesty and shatters the faith of the common man in the dignity of honest labour and lawful living. Black-money results in the functioning of a parallel economy in the country. The problem, therefore, needs immediate attention.

India with $1,456 billion or $1.4 trillion has more money in Swiss banks than rest of the world combined.

Recently, due to international pressure, the Swiss government agreed to disclose the names of the account holders only if the respective governments formally asked for it. Still Indian government is not asking for the details. To the reasons best known to them.

We need to start a movement to pressurize the government to do so! This is perhaps the only way, and a golden opportunity, to expose the high and mighty and weed out corruption!

Various estimates have been made regarding the quantity of black-money in circulation. The black-money has now assumed vast dimensions and menacing proportions. It has been engaging the attention of the Government and the public.

Black money also arises from illegal activities like smuggling, drug-peddling.

Perhaps the most important reason of tax-evasion and black-money is the general deterioration in the moral and civic standards of our people.

Today I feel that we must took an oath that every person will lead an honest life free from all corruption and will set an example for others to adopt a transparent way of life.

Finally I told you that we should start a movement starting from ourself. Youth of today have to fight to eradicate corruption by making each home righteous.

So, dear friends, here is a great opportunity for you, to take up this responsibility and work with a missionary approach to set targets for progress for society and achieve them
