Assessment of the results of five state assembly elections

BJP Parliamentary Board met in New Delhi today to discuss the results of the election to the five state assemblies.

The BJP is of the opinion that the result of each assembly is state-specific.

An anti-incumbency wave factor due to lack of actual development has impacted the result in West Bengal. Corruption and family nepotism has influenced the election results in Tamil Nadu.

The BJP regrets that the lack of opposition unity resulted in the absence of a credible alterative in Assam.

The global decline of the Marxist ideology appears to have belatedly arrived in India.

The results of the bye elections in Chattisgarh and Karnataka are satisfying for the BJP.

The BJP congratulates the winners of these elections in each state and hopes that they will be able to live up to the faith that the voter have reposed in them.
